Free youth soccer stats tracker Two shots on target and a first assist. By Tuesday, you’ll have forgotten.

Not anymore. Tap who, then what: one thumb, big buttons, eyes still on the game. Every goal, shot, assist and save is kept, minutes played are worked out for you, and the season's numbers build themselves game by game.

What you can track

Eight buttons on one screen, no scrolling, big enough for cold hands:

Substitutions are a tap too, and the app turns them into minutes played for every player. The game clock runs from the screen and survives a locked phone or a closed tab. Tapped the wrong thing? The last tag stays at the bottom of the screen with a cross to undo it.

What you get back

Every number says how many games it's built from, and per-game rates sit beside the totals, so a player who simply played more minutes doesn't look like the one who improved. There are no player ratings and no rankings.

“I hope you got that on video.” Now you will.

A dad next to me said it after a breakaway, and nobody had. By the time you find the camera app, switch to video and press record, it's over.

So the game screen has one big Capture the moment button under the stat buttons. Tap it and you're recording in about half a second, with the camera filling the screen so you can see what you're getting. Tap again and it stops, and the clip is ready to save straight to your camera roll.

And like the stats, it's always free.

Built for one parent, one thumb

Always free. Really.

Everything on this page is free, and stays free: tagging, stats, minutes, video, every game, every team, every season. There's no trial that runs out, no cap on games, and no ads. The only thing that costs anything is optional. The app can turn your season into a true written story, built only from what you tagged and wrote down. The opening chapter is free too; the full story is a one-time pass ($39 or $69, never a subscription). Pricing has the details.

Where the stats end up

I started out looking for a simple stats tracker for my daughter's games, the same search that probably brought you here. The numbers turned out to be the start of it. By spring, nobody remembers a shot accuracy; they remember the first goal, and the game a team finally became a team. The stats are what make that story true. Read a whole sample season to see where they go.

Questions

Is there a free app to track my kid's soccer stats?

Yes. Orange Slice Soccer tracks goals, shots on and off target, assists, defensive wins, turnovers, saves, goals allowed and minutes played, for every game, every season, and it's always free. It isn't a trial, it doesn't stop after a few games, and you don't need a card to start.

Can I track just my own child instead of the whole team?

Yes. Add your child to the roster and go. Those games count for your child's stats and stay out of the team's numbers, so a game where you only tagged one player never shows up as a wrong team score. You can tag the whole team whenever you want to.

Can I record video while I'm tracking stats?

Yes. There's one big Capture the moment button on the game screen. Tap it and it's recording in about half a second; tap again and the clip is ready to save to your camera roll. You never leave the game screen, and the video never goes to our servers.

Does it work on Android, and without signal?

It runs in your phone's browser, on iPhone or Android, and you can add it to your home screen like an app. Tagging keeps working when the signal drops, and everything catches up once you're back online.
